7You’s Senior writer reveals the beauty, fashion and wellness finds that made her June lucky

June felt like standing in the sunshine after weeks of rain.

Not literally, because this is Sydney in winter and I spent a concerning amount of time wearing socks to bed and pretending 16 degrees was “not that cold”. But emotionally? Spiritually? Cosmically? June was all sunshine.

I’ve spent the month feeling incredibly grateful for the people around me.

Friends who make me laugh until I can’t breathe, family who somehow always know when to check in, and loved ones who keep reminding me that good things don’t always arrive with fireworks and confetti.

Sometimes they arrive in coffee catch-ups, airport departure gates, text messages and moments where you realise you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be with the right people.

I’ve been lucky enough to travel this year, discover beauty products that have earned permanent residency in my bathroom cabinet and fashion finds that somehow make getting dressed feel easier and more fun.

Most importantly, June felt like momentum. Like things are moving in the right direction.

And now July is waiting around the corner, which, as a Leo, I consider less a month and more a national holiday.

Here are the things that made my June sparkle.

Lucky Me Red Tee from All for Mimi, $59

Some people buy concert merchandise at the venue.

I buy concert merchandise six months before the concert even exists in my calendar and build my personality around it.

I’m heading to the Hilary Duff Lucky Me tour later this year in Sydney, which honestly already feels like winning the lottery. So when I spotted the Lucky Me tee from All for Mimi, I knew resistance was futile.

Partly because it felt very Hilary Duff coded.

Partly because I firmly believe manifestation works best when paired with good knitwear and positive delusion.

The bright red tee features a blue “LUCKY ME” graphic across the front and somehow manages to feel nostalgic, cool and optimistic all at once.

It’s made from a signature mid-weight cotton in a relaxed boxy shape that works with jeans, activewear or the emotional support blazer currently living on the back of my chair.

Mostly though, I love the reminder.

Lucky isn’t something that happens to you. Sometimes it’s something you choose to notice.

Thanks To Nature Creamy Body Wash Hydrate Cherry Blossom & White Tea from Woolworths was $12 now $6

Every now and then a supermarket product enters your life and completely disrupts the luxury beauty market.

This is that product.

Firstly, this body wash smells outrageously good. The kind of good where you emerge from the shower sniffing your own arm like you’ve become a bloodhound.

The Cherry Blossom and White Tea scent lingers beautifully on the skin and somehow makes an ordinary Monday morning shower feel slightly more expensive than it has any right to.

The creamy formula transforms into a rich lather and leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated rather than stripped and squeaky.

Winter skin can be a difficult house guest, but this has kept mine happy.

Finding out it was half price somehow made the experience even more luxurious.

Nothing smells sweeter than savings.

Ultraceuticals Youth Boost ExoSignal GF² Facial Serum from David Jones, $199

My skin and I have had a complicated relationship over the years.

We’re good now, but there were negotiations.

This month, this serum has become the overachiever in my skincare routine. Every time I use it, my skin looks brighter, healthier and significantly more awake than I feel.

Powered by ExoSignal™ Technology, the next-generation formula works to visibly renew, strengthen and rebalance the skin for a healthier, more youthful appearance.

My favourite part is the glow.

Not the greasy, “did I accidentally walk through cooking oil?” kind of glow.

The expensive holiday glow.

The eight-hours-of-sleep glow.

The “what highlighter are you wearing?” glow.

Psychic Medium reading with Jessica Lynne

Every time I tell people I’ve had psychic readings before, they look at me the same way they might look at someone who owns crystals and communicates with house plants.

For the record, I only own some crystals.

I’ve had readings in the past that left me emotional, stunned and questioning absolutely everything I thought I knew about the universe.

My session with Jessica Lynne was another one of those experiences.

As one of Australia’s most sought-after psychic mediums, podcast host and founder of wellness brand The Lime Glo, Jessica has built a huge following and after meeting her, I understand why.

The reading felt less like fortune telling and more like reassurance.

A reminder that I’m on the right path.

A reminder that the things I’ve been working towards are coming.

A reminder to stop refreshing my life every five minutes waiting for updates and trust the process a little more.

If optimism had a customer service department, this felt like speaking directly to them.

Shark Glossi 2-in-1 Hot Tool and Air Glosser, $199.99

My hair and humidity have a long and complicated enemies-to-lovers storyline that unfortunately never reaches the lovers part.

I have a lot of hair.

An unreasonable amount of hair.

The kind of hair that makes hotel hairdryers give up halfway through and accept defeat.

Which is why the Shark Glossi has become one of my favourite discoveries of the year.

I’ve been using it almost daily and somehow my hair ends up looking silky, glossy and suspiciously professional every single time.

From a Hilary Duff-inspired lucky tee to a psychic reading and a game-changing hair tool, these are the fashion, beauty and wellness finds that made my June feel especially charmed.

It styles and dries quickly and leaves my hair looking like I’ve booked an expensive salon blow-dry rather than wrestled with it in front of the bathroom mirror while balancing on one foot.

The Shark Glossi combines heat-controlled ceramic plates with powerful airflow to smooth and add shine with every pass while minimising frizz and avoiding heat damage when using Wet-to-Dry mode.

Most importantly, it saves time.

And if there’s one thing more valuable than glossy hair, it’s getting 20 minutes of your morning back.

Bring on July.
