
A driver in the MSCA Super Sprint Championship has tragically died.
Police were called to Calder Park in Melbourne on Sunday where a competitor had crashed into a pole during Round 5 of the grassroots motorsport series.
“Police responded to a fatal single vehicle crash in Calder Park today,” a police spokesperson said in a statement.

“Emergency services were called to reports of a car crashing into a pole at a racetrack on the Calder Freeway about 10.05am.
“The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, who is yet to be formally identified, sadly died at the scene.
“Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
“WorkSafe has been notified.”
