When it’s hot outside, my go-to casual outfit is a simple T-shirt dress. It’s light, airy and goes with just about anything — like your favorite tee, just longer. If you don’t have one in your closet yet, I highly recommend you change that, stat!
T-shirt dresses are so versatile when the heat is on. You can wear them with flip-flops around town, over a swimsuit to the beach, with sneakers to walk your dog or at home to watch TV and revel in the air conditioning (perhaps I’m speaking from personal experience here). But you can also class ’em up a bit with fancier sandals or low heels, or pair them with a jean jacket to go to a meeting or head out for dinner. Plus, they’re usually easier to care for than all those flowy summer dresses we all adore — most are fine to toss in the washer and dryer.
